Frequently asked questions
How does GCELE align with the European Framework for Languages?
The GCELE is a published series of English language comprehension tests developed by the Xenia Tsolaki Metaxa Private Institute (XTMPI) in Cyprus, in collaboration with the Global Language Institute in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and the University of Saint Louis in Missouri.
English Language Certification
Test-takers who successfully complete the GCELE series earn English certification, positioning them well for more advanced tests such as TOEFL, TOEIC, and IELTS. Although the GCELE is relatively new, over ten thousand students have already taken the test with great acclaim and satisfaction. XTMPI created this English test to fill a gap in available assessments for English language schools, particularly for young non-native English speakers.
